If offenders do not co-operate with their order, probation staff will arrange breach action which can result in return to court for a further punishment. This may include an additional Community Sentence, a fine or imprisonment. Enforcement is not, however, synonymous with breach. The first stage of enforcement is to work with offenders in a positive and purposeful way so as to secure their compliance with the requirements of their order or licence. |
