Introduction to our Single Equality Scheme
The Single Equality Scheme 2009 – 2012 sets out Northampton Probation Trusts commitment to meet our responsibilities under the three equality duties of Race, Disability and Gender over the next 3 years.
The scheme explains the actions we have taken and will continue taking to:
- Assess the impact of our business on race, disability and gender
- Promote equality through our work
- Promote positive attitudes towards and good relations between all groups of people; and
- Eliminate any harassment or unlawful discrimination.
This scheme is subject to approval by our Board Trust in April 2009 and is also a living document and will be revised from time to time as part of ongoing review. Northamptonshire Probation Trust welcomes comments and suggestions from staff, partners, community groups, stakeholders and other interested parties. The Scheme and Action Plan will be reviewed annually and published on this website:
